The Fengwen Pagoda in Fengjie is located on the top of Wuyun Peak, on the south bank of the Yangtze River, southeast of the county seat. It is approximately 1400 meters above sea level and is visible from afar.
The restoration project started on August 7, 2010, with a total investment of 1.5275 million yuan. The construction included the main body repair of the Wenfeng Pagoda, the construction of a viewing platform and pedestrian walkways. A new platform was added to the west of the tower for sightseeing, offering a place for prayer and blessings. Despite facing harsh weather conditions and numerous difficulties, the project was completed in September 2011. This project protected the cultural heritage of Kuizhou and promoted the humanistic spirit of Fengjie.
